World's First Space-Grade Helium Purification System Certified by NASA
2025-09-08

In September 2025, the space-grade heliumpurification system, co-developed by Beijing Institute of Aerospace andMacDonald Dettwiler, passed NASA's deep-space equipment certification. Usingmolecular sieve-cryogenic coupling technology, it reduces impurities to below0.1ppb, meeting ultra-pure gas standards for James Webb Telescope-leveldevices. The ISS will fully adopt this system by 2026, cutting annual resupplylaunches by 3.
